TMC MP Mahua Moitra is known for her fiery speeches in Parliament. She recently came under line of fire after “Cash for Query” allegations by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and her Former friend Jai Anant Dehadrai.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has made primarily two allegations against Moitra based on Dehadrai's complaints. These are:
1. That Moitra received gifts in cash and kind from real estate developer Darshan Hiranandani for asking questions in Parliament targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and businessman Gautam Adani.
2. That she shared her Lok Sabha id and password with Hiranandani, which, according to Dubey, is in violation of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
The Ethics committee of House has recommended her expulsion after Six members of the panel voted in favor of the report, including Congress MP Preneet Kaur. Which may only take place if The House votes in the favor of such a recommendation.
Today, report of the Committee may be Put Infront of House for discussion.
MP Mahua Moitra said, "Maa Durga aa gayi hai, ab dekhenge...Jab naash manuj par chhata hai, pehle vivek mar jaata hai. They have started 'vastraharan' and now you will watch 'Mahabharat ka rann'."
