Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay a visit to Hyderabad. At roughly 5 p.m., he will dedicate the 'Statue of Equality' to the country. The 216-foot-tall 'Statue of Equality' statue was erected in commemoration of the 11th-century Bhakti saint Sri Ramanujacharya. Ramanujacharya advocated for equality in all elements of life, including religion, caste, and creed. This statue is built of 'Panchloha,' a five-metal alloy of gold, silver, copper, brass, and zinc, and is one of the world's tallest metal sculptures in the sitting posture. It is built atop a 54-foot-high foundation structure known as the 'Bhadra Vedi.'

PM Modi addressed the issue in a tweet. 'I will attend the inaugural programme of the 'Statue of Equality at 5 p.m.,' he stated. It is an appropriate memorial to Sri Ramanujacharya Swami, whose spiritual ideas and teachings inspire us.' The Bhadra Vedi, according to the Prime Minister's Office, has a Vedic Digital Library and Research Centre, ancient Indian literature, a theatre, and an educational gallery that houses the saints. This book describes several of Ramanujacharya's writings.

Chinna Jeyar Swami of Ramanujacharya Ashram conceived this monument. A 3D display detailing Ramanujacharya's life journey and education will also be performed throughout the session. The Prime Minister will also pay a visit to the 108 Divya Desams (ornamentally carved temples) that encircle the Statue of Equality. Ramanujacharya laboured relentlessly for the betterment of humanity, regardless of nationality, gender, colour, caste, or creed.

1000th birth anniversary celebrations

The unveiling of the Statue of Equality is part of Ramanujacharya's continuing 1000th birth anniversary festivities, known as the 12-day Ramanuja Millennium Samaroham. Chinna Jiyar envisions Divya Saketam, Muchintal's huge Spiritual Facility, becoming a world-renowned spiritual destination. The megaproject has cost a total of 1000 crores. The statue was built with around 1800 tonnes of punch iron. Around the park, 108 Divyadesam, or temples, have been constructed. The stone pillars were handcrafted in Rajasthan.

Know who is Ramanujacharya Swami?

Ramanujacharya Swami was born in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, in 1017. Kantimati was his mother's name, and Keshavacharyulu was his father's. Devotees believe that Lord Adish himself took on this avatar. He was educated in Vedanta by the Kanchi Advaita Pandits. He articulated the Vishishtadvaita worldview and made temples the focal point of religion. Yamunacharya initiated Ramanuja into Vaishnava initiation. Alvandaru, his great-grandfather, was a priest in the Srirangam Vaishnava Math.

Ramanuja received the mantra initiation from 'Nambi' Narayan. Thirukoshtiyaru revealed the significance of the 'dual mantra' and urged Ramanujam to keep the mantra secret, but Ramanuja thought that 'moksha' should not be limited to a few individuals, therefore he consecrated both men and women equally. Climb the gopuram of the Srirangam temple to proclaim the mantra.
