Supporting the demand for Khalistan has proved to be a tough choice for Canadian singer Shubneet Singh, popularly known as Shubh.
BOAT has also withdrawn sponsorship from the singer over his controversial remarks supporting Khalistan.The singer has been facing intense backlash after his controversial social media posts where he even shared a distorted map of India.
Several protests were also staged in Mumbai city that pushed the authorities to cancel the show after controversial posts by Shubh on social media.
Shubh’s Still Rollin Tour for India has been canceled amid the growing tensions and the organizer, BookMyShow has also initiated refunds of the ticket amount to all the people who have purchased the tickets after facing constant flak on X.
In a series of events, both India and Canada have expelled senior diplomats from their countries after the murder of a pro-Khalistani leader in June.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged India’s hand in the killing of the Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar to which India quickly responded by regarding the assertion as an absurd one.
