Coordination Committee to be Formed to End Disputes in Rajasthan Government

In Rajasthan, a Coordination Committee will be formed to coordinate power and organization. The party high command is worried about the dispute between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot becoming public. During the ten-month tenure of the Gehlot government, the high command resented the formation of the Coordination Committee, angered by the power and organization being face-to-face on many issues, lack of coordination among ministers and public statements by legislators against their own government.

Now the Coordination Committee will take decisions related to power and organization. These include cabinet expansion, political appointments, appointment of office-bearers in the State Congress Committee, removal of the state Congress office-bearers and important decisions related to the government.

The Co-ordination Committee included Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, State In-Charge National Secretary Avinash Pandey, Secretary Vivek Bansal, Tarun Kumar, Kazi Nizamuddin, Former Union Minister Bhanwar Jitendra Singh, Congress Working Committee member Raghuveer Meena, Medical Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma and 21 other Leaders will be included. Due to the important decisions related to power and organization through the Co-ordination Committee, Gehlot and Pilot have now started trying to involve their trusted people in it.

At the same time, the pilot wants to make Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Bhanwarlal Meghwal, Food Minister Ramesh Meena and Transport Minister Pratap Singh Khachariwas a member of the Coordination Committee. According to sources, after the approval of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, a Coordination Committee will be formed by the second week of this month. The committee will meet once a month. The party high command has instructed the ministers to communicate with local Congress workers while visiting the districts. Public hearings should also be done as far as possible in the office of District Congress Committees.

It is noteworthy that Gehlot and the pilot camp had come face to face in the local body elections in the recent past for adopting hybrid formula. Under the Hybrid formula, no outsider could become Mayor and Chairman without contesting the election of Councilor. The decision was publicly opposed by pilot's ministers and legislators. The matter reached Sonia Gandhi and ultimately the government had to change its decision. Similarly, senior MLAs Bharat Singh and Ramnarayan Meena made allegations of corruption in the government.
