The official announcement was shared on the party's Twitter account, stating that Arvinder Singh Lovely has been appointed as the President of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect.
Arvinder Singh Lovely was born on December 11, 1968. He first won the Gandhi Nagar Vidhan Sabha seat in Delhi in the 1998 assembly elections.
Subsequently, he was elected as a legislator in 2003, 2008, and 2013. He has also served as a minister in the government of former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
In 2013, Arvinder Singh Lovely also held the position of President of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee.
It's worth noting that Arvinder Singh Lovely began his political career from the college level. He served as the National Secretary of the Youth Wing of the Congress Party, known as the NSUI, from 1992 to 1996.
He has held key portfolios in various Delhi government departments, including Education, Urban Development, and Transport."
