A photograph capturing a moment where Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha was attacked by a crow outside the Parliament during the Monsoon session has gone viral on the Internet.
In the photo, Raghav Chadha can be seen engrossed in a phone call when a crow suddenly flies by, appearing to peck at his head.
The Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saw an opportunity to take a jibe at Raghav Chadha, and they tweeted the photo along with a reference to the famous Hindi phrase, 'jhooth bole kauwa kaate' (one should not speak lies, else a crow will peck on you).
In their post, the Delhi BJP wrote, "Till today, we only heard it. Today, we have seen the crow biting the liar."
BJP leader Tejinder Pal Singh Bagga also joined in, humorously mentioning the incident in his tweet.
He expressed concern over the "attack" by the crow on the Honorable MP Raghav Chadha and wished him good health.
Meanwhile, amid this light-hearted moment, the BJP government is bracing for a no-confidence motion presented by the Opposition parties.
Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi submitted a notice for the no-confidence motion, while Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) floor leader Nageshwar Rao also sent a separate notice to the Speaker.
The Opposition has been urging Prime Minister Modi to address the House and provide a statement regarding the ethnic violence in Manipur.
In response, the government has expressed its readiness for a discussion, offering Union Home Minister Amit Shah to address Parliament, a proposal which the Opposition parties have rejected.
