Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that the recent increase in corona Cases in Delhi in the country's capital is undoubtedly worrying but there is no need to panic and the situation is under control. CM Kejriwal said this while interacting with the media through a digital press conference. Significantly, the number of corona cases in Delhi has reached close to 74000. CM also gave the reason for the increase in the number of cases. He said that till a few days ago we were conducting five to six thousand tests daily and at that time there were two thousand to two and a half thousand positive cases. By increasing the number of tests, now 18 to 20 thousand tests are being conducted for the last few days. Apparently, when the tests are done on such a large scale, cases will also increase slightly. In this case, the testing has increased by almost 3 times.

CM said that so far around 2400 people have died in Delhi and there are about 26000 active cases in Delhi right now

The Chief Minister said that if we do more tests, the cases will increase a little more. The good thing is that out of a total of 74000 cases, 45000 people have been cured, people are also recovering quickly. CM said that so far around 2400 people have died in Delhi and there are about 26000 active cases in Delhi right now, out of which only 6000 are in hospitals, rest are mostly at home. In the last one week, the number of total beds on which patients are kept has been around six thousand. Though 3000 to 3500 cases are coming daily but most of the people do not need hospitals, most people are getting mild corona. CM also told that for the last 1 week only 6000 beds are needed in Delhi, we have prepared 13500 in which 6 thousand patients are kept on beds. If the need arises in the coming times, it may be that ICU beds are needed.

CM said that today the cabinet has approved to increase 450 more beds in Burari's hospital. We have made arrangements for 100 beds in Loknayak Hospital. In this way, in Delhi, banquet halls will be connected with hospitals. He admitted that there were few days in the month of June when there were shortage of beds in Delhi but now the situation is under control. We have arranged 3500 beds in Delhi hotels and connected them to hospitals.

Inside the ICU, the beds are increasing, in the LNJP, Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty and Guru Tegh Bahadur hospital. He told that in the last days we did plasma trials in Delhi, we performed 29 plasma therapies at Loknayak Hospital. Now we have been allowed to do plasma therapy on friends and patients. Plasma has been allowed in Lok Nayak Hospital and Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital. Many private hospitals are also doing plasma therapy. Plasma results show that if someone is a very serious patient, then such patients may not survive from plasma, but those whose condition has not deteriorated can be saved from plasma.

All such people who are in home isolation are delivered a pulse oximeter

The Chief Minister said that we hope that with plasma we can succeed in reducing the death rate. Since the time he started plasma at Loknayak Hospital, the death toll has almost halved. If your oxygen level is 90 or 85 while suffering from corona, then you will have a lot of difficulty in breathing. It has been observed that suddenly the oxygen level decreases and death occurs. Now all such people who are in home isolation are delivered a pulse oximeter. People who have received pulse oximeter should measure their oxygen level in every 2 hours. If your oxygen level falls below 94, then you should call us immediately. We will either send oxygen or get you admitted to the hospital.
