JAIPUR: Police officer Virendra Singh has been suspended for lathi-charge after killing Hawker in Khonagoriyan police station area of Jaipur. BJP leaders staged a protest at the police station demanding the suspension of the police officer. The police administration suspended the police officer and assured to pay compensation of five lakh rupees to the victim's family. After this, the picket was ended. Many senior leaders joined.

The police leaders lathi-charged when the BJP leaders and activists arrived at the Khongorian police station to protest against the demand to arrest the accused. Many activists, including former Parliamentary Secretary Kailash Verma, were injured during this period. At the same time, former minister Kanhaiya Lal Meena started taking the injured Kailash Verma in his car and taking him to the hospital, then the policemen also misbehaved with him and sat in the police station.
