Police Commissioner System Implemented in Lucknow and Gautam Buddha Nagar

The proposal of police commissioner system in Lucknow and Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida) has been passed in the cabinet meeting of Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh. In the cabinet meeting to be held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at Lok Bhawan, the police commissioner system has been approved in Lucknow and Gautam Budh Nagar. Along with this, six other proposals have been approved.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the media today after the cabinet meeting. Earlier, after the cabinet meeting, the spokespersons of the government, Cabinet Ministers Siddharth Nath Singh and Shrikant Sharma used to brief the media about the cabinet decision.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that today is very important from the point of view of Uttar Pradesh Police. Our government has taken big and great steps for better policing. For a long time it was being demanded for the law and order of Uttar Pradesh. It has been completed. Today, there is a population of around 40 lakhs in Lucknow and around 25 lakhs in Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida). There are a total of 40 police stations in Lucknow so far. Now there will be a police commissioner system in Lucknow. In which ADG rank officers will be police commissioners. The commissioner system in the state will be applicable in the metropolitan city. Along with this, women SP rank officer will be appointed separately at both the places. So that separate work can be done for the safety of women. She will also be accompanied by ASP Rahink's officer. SP and ASP rank officers will be deployed to improve traffic system in Lucknow and Gautam Buddha Nagar. So that the traffic system is strong.

The Chief Minister said that we have taken the biggest step to improve UP Police. In the last 50 years, this system was being demanded for better policing as well as strong law and order. We have implemented the commissioner system in Lucknow and Noida.
