A tragic incident has come to light from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, here Chemical gas leaked at South Korea's company LG's polymer plant in RR Venkatapuram village. 7 people have died under the influence of poisonous gas, including one child. One person died after falling into a well while escaping. Thousands of people in the village and surrounding areas have complained of eye irritation and shortness of breath, after which people are being taken to the hospital. With this, the villages are being evacuated, whereas Police, fire brigade, ambulance reached the spot.
DGP of Andhra Pradesh DG Sawang said that 7 people have died so far. One person died after falling into a well, this event occurred at 3.30 am. The plant was closed due to lockdown. A local official said that the situation would be taken under control in the next 2 to 3 hours. Many people were having trouble breathing and they have been supported by oxygen.
