PM Narendra Modi to Called an All-Party Meeting on June 19 Regarding Current Situation in India-China Border Areas

The Foreign Ministry has blamed China for this clash on the border and it has been said by the Ministry that this incident could have been avoided if China had followed the agreement reached at the top level between the two countries

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called an all-party meeting on June 19 to discuss the current situation in the India-China border area. Last Monday night in East Ladakh, Indian Army personnel had a violent clash with Chinese army personnel, which resulted in 20 Indian soldiers martyred, which has already brought the situation under tension and fragile situation on the border. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will discuss the circumstances ahead in this meeting convened at 5 pm on Friday.

Earlier, after the confirmation of the clash, the PM held a meeting with the country's highest political leadership and army chief till late Tuesday. The meeting was conducted between Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and Army Chief General M.M. Narwane at 10 pm.

Let us tell you that on Monday night, there was a violent clash between Indian and Chinese forces in the Galvan valley of East Ladakh, in which 20 Indian soldiers lost their lives. News agency ANI quoted sources as saying that 43 Chinese soldiers were also killed, or were seriously injured in the clash, although the Indian Army did not mention this in their statement.

On Tuesday, a statement was issued by the Ministry saying that the clash started because of a unilateral attempt to change the status quo towards China. Let us tell you that the Ministry of External Affairs said in its statement that India wants to negotiate peace but it is also committed to its sovereignty.
