PM Modi Held Meeting with Union Ministers to Review COVID-19 Situation

PM Modi on Saturday reviewed the situation of the coronavirus epidemic in the country through a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, NITI Aayog, Cabinet Secretary and other senior officials of the Central Government. The PM directed that we should reiterate the need to follow personal hygiene and physical distancing in public places. The PM further said that the awareness of COVID-19 should be widely disseminated and continues emphasis to prevent the spread of infection.

At the same time, the PM appreciated the coordinated efforts of the Central, State, and local authorities to contain the epidemic in Delhi. PM further directed that other state governments should also adopt a similar approach in the national capital region (NCR) comprising several districts of UP, Rajasthan and Haryana adjoining the national capital.

Real-time national-level monitoring will be provided to all COVID-19 affected states:

PM Modi also directed that real-time national-level monitoring and guidance will be provided to all COVID-19 affected states of India with special focus on areas with a high positivity rate for the disease. During the meeting, the PM also praised the 'Dhanvantari Rath' being used in Ahmedabad. He said that the 'Dhanvantari Rath' of monitoring and delivering medical care to the homes is a successful example and can be adopted elsewhere.

27,114 new cases reported in the last 24 hours:

Let us tell you that the Coronavirus epidemic wreaking havoc in India and more than 20,000 cases are being reported every day for the past several days. Talking about Saturday, a total of 27,114 new cases have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours and 519 people have died.

However, it should also be emphasized here that patients infected with coronavirus are recovering rapidly. So far, more than 8,20,000 cases have been reported in the country. Of these, more than 5 lakh patients have been cured. On the other hand, 62.78 percent of patients infected with corona have recovered. According to the Ministry of Health, 8,20,916 cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in India. Of these, 2,83,407 are active cases, while 5,15,386 people have recovered and 22,123 people have died.

So far 1,13,07,002 samples tested in India:

Talking about testing in the country, 2,82,511 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. So far 1,13,07,002 tests have been conducted in the country. At the same time, Maharashtra is the most affected state in the country. So far, 2,38,461 cases have been reported here. There are 95,943 active cases. Of these, 1,32,625 people have recovered. At the same time, 9893 people have died.
