PM Modi Announces 1000 Crore Relief Package for West Bengal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Odisha and West Bengal to visit the devastation caused by cyclone Amphan. In a conversation with officials in Basirhat, West Bengal, PM Modi announced a relief package of Rs.1000 crore to West Bengal soon after the aerial survey. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an advance interim assistance of Rs 1,000 crore for the cyclone Amphan affected West Bengal. PM Modi said that the families of those who were killed by the cyclone storm are announced to get Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister's Relief Fund and the injured would be given financial assistance of Rs 50,000.

PM Modi said that the state government and the central government tried their best to deal with the Amphan cyclone, but despite that we could not save the lives of about 80 people, it is sad for all of us and for the families who have lost their lives.

People of West Bengal have been the most affected by Cyclone Amphan. Let us tell you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi took an aerial tour of the areas affected by Cyclone Amphan in Bengal today. During this, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Governor Dhankad were also present with him, besides this PM Modi will also visit Odisha after the Bengal tour.
