Six-time title holder MC Mary Kom claimed the gold medal effortlessly in the 23rd President's Cup,  asserting her supremacy in a lop-sided 51kg bout final in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia Sunday. The Olympic bronze medallist pugilist decimated Australian April Franks 5-0.

The 36-year-old Indian had likewise won a gold medal at the India Open enclosing competition May, however, avoided the Asian Championships as a feature of a bigger arrangement to improve her odds of Olympic capability.

The Asian Championship was held in Thailand in May.

Straight from winning the gold at the India Open two months back, Mary Kom took part in this esteemed competition with the point of testing herself and getting some genuinely necessary sessions added to the repertoire in front of the World Championships.
