Actor- Writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge says in her more youthful years, she "frantically" needed to be a boy. 

The Fleabag maker said she even shaved off her hair, wore male garments and requested her folks call her 'Alex' when she was six.

Inquired as to whether she would have experienced sex reassignment had it been ordinary when she was a kid, Waller-Bridge revealed to NPR Radio, "I mean there's the boyish girl sort of thing… I was intense about it when I was more youthful.

"I just frantically needed to be a boy more than all else. In the event that it had been paid attention to by my school or those alternatives had been given to me, I presumably would've seized it." 

The author said when she went to life experience school at 11 years old, she started requesting that individuals call her with her genuine name again when she "found young men in a major way ".

"I went to a residential school for 18 months, two years. I wasn't pondering either being a boy or being a young lady…

"What's more, one specifically — I met a kid and afterward all of a sudden winding up extremely mindful that I looked kind of boyish myself and that he didn't like it that way."

Waller-Bridge said despite everything she harbors "a similar drive" to be a male "constantly". "Regardless I feel better in a hoodie and pants than I ever do in little cat heels and a flowy skirt," she included.
