Public oil coming out of heavy tax on petrol and diesel

Petrol-diesel is not expensive in our country but it becomes very expensive after the government imposes taxes. In our country, the base price of petrol and diesel is still close to 33 rupees. But the central and state governments impose tax on it and reach it at 100 rupees. On this, the central government is charging excise duty of Rs 33. After this, the state governments charge VAT and cess on their own, after which their price has increased up to 3 times from the base price. In such a situation, it is not possible to reduce the price of petrol without giving relief in tax.
