To prevent the growing threat of Corona, the Prime Minister has declared a lockdown for 21 days from March 25.  However, before this announcement, the Supreme Court and various High Courts and District Courts had taken precautionary measures and limited the courts to solving necessary cases instead of regular listening of all cases.  In the meantime of settlement and trial of the cases was limited but there was no restriction on the filing of the cases, so the rate of filing of new cases remained the same and the rate of disposal was halted.  The direct result is to increase the number of cases pending in the court and the pile of cases is getting bigger.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a 21-day lockdown and many restrictions have been imposed during this period.  The petition said, 'Different steps by different authorities are causing panic and chaos.  It cannot solve a serious problem like covid-19.  Due to lockdown, economic activities have come to a standstill, hence there is a need to implement financial emergency in the country under Article 360 ​​of the Constitution.

According to the petition, due to covid-19, the current situation in the country may be the biggest emergency in the history of independent India, so it should be considered under the provisions of the Constitution through unified command between the Central and State Governments.
