A petition has been filed in the National Green Tribunal against the Odd-Scheme of the Kejriwal government. The petitioner challenged the NGT against the Odd-Even scheme and demanded the government's order not to implement it.
In fact, recently, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced to implement the Odd-Even scheme from November 4 to 15. Kejriwal says that after the implementation of this scheme, it will help to reduce pollution in Delhi. People will not be able to take the vehicles on the roads daily under the Odd-Even scheme.
Reacting to the Odd-Even scheme, Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari had said that 'I believe there is no need for it. The construction of the ring road has reduced pollution. With this, the schemes run by the central government will make Delhi pollution free during the next two years.
CM Kejriwal claimed that 25 percent pollution in Delhi is over, but in spite of this we do not have to sit silently. He said that the smoke of the starchy from the neighboring states envelops Delhi and surrounding areas. The government had sought suggestions to reduce pollution, on which around 1200 suggestions have also come up.
