Pawan Once Again Reached Supreme Court: Nirbhaya Case

Pawan Kumar Gupta, one of the four convicts in the Nirbhaya case, has once again moved the Supreme Court to avoid being hanged. Nirbhaya's convict Pawan has challenged the order dismissing his plea to a minor at the time of the offense by filing a review petition in the Supreme Court. Along with this, Pawan has also demanded the court to stop the death warrant.

The trial court has fixed February 1 as the date of execution of the four convicts. However, in Delhi's Patiala House Court, the convicts have filed a petition on the issue of death warrant, on which the hearing is going on.

The meeting of the family members of Nirbhaya's convicts on Friday may be the last. Jail sources say that their relatives are coming to meet all the culprits on Friday. According to the death warrant, the culprits are to be hanged at six in the morning on February 1. In such a situation, the meeting of relatives on 31 January can be called the last meeting.
