Total Time: 25 min

Servings: 6

Ingredients:

Bread Slices 6

Water one and a half cup

Oil 1 cup

For stuffing:

Paneer 1 cup

Potato 3 (boiled mashed)

Onion 1 (finely chopped)

Green capsicum 1 (finely chopped)

Green Chili 1

Cumin powder ½ teaspoon

Red chili powder half teaspoon

Garam masala powder half teaspoon

Black pepper powder quarter teaspoon

Chaat masala powder half teaspoon

2 tablespoons of sunflower oil

Salt 1 teaspoon

Coriander leaves 2 teaspoons (finely chopped)

Ginger paste 1/4 teaspoon

Garlic paste one fourth teaspoon

Method of making potato filled bread rolls:

 Step 1:

To prepare bread roll filling first, put 2 teaspoons of sunflower oil in a non-stick pan and heat it on medium flame. Now add ginger and garlic paste and roast it. After this add green chili paste and fry for few seconds. Now add chopped onion and fry till golden.

 Step 2:

Now add cumin powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, black pepper powder and chaat masala. Now add cottage cheese, mashed potatoes and capsicum and mix well.

 Step 3:

Now add coriander leaves and salt to it. Cook the mixture until the moisture dries completely. Remove from heat and keep it to cool for some time.

 Step 4:

Now cut the edges of the bread to prepare the rolls. Pour the bread in water for a few seconds so that it becomes slightly soft. Now carefully squeeze out all the water from the bread. Keep in mind that bread is not broken.

 Step 5:

Now keep a slice of bread in hand. Put a spoonful of filling in the center of the bread and fold the sides of the bread and give the roll an oval shape. Likewise prepare all the rolls and keep them aside.

 Step 6:

Now heat oil in a pan or deep-bottomed pot. When the oil is well heated, deep fry all the rolls one by one. While frying the bread rolls, make sure that they do not fall over each other. So instead of frying all the rolls together, fry them little by little. Fry the bread rolls on medium heat until crisp and golden in color. This may take about 2 to 3 minutes.

 Step 7:

Take it out on tissue paper or kitchen towel to remove excess oil from the bread rolls. Serve hot with tamarind chutney or Mithi curd.
