In response to the cross-border firing in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army on Saturday killed two Pakistan soldiers. The situation became so pathetic for Pakistan that it was forced to show a white flag to carry the bodies of its soldiers. The white flag in military language indicates surrender or a ceasefire.
Sepoy Ghulam Rasool was Killed in retaliation by the Indian Army while responding to the ceasefire violation on September 10-11 in Hajipur sector of PoK. The soldier was from Bahawalnagar in Punjab province in Pakistan. Initially, the Pakistani army tried to take the body of Rasul by firing, but the Indian Army gave a befitting reply.
During this time, another Pakistani Army soldier was also killed. Despite trying for two days, Pakistan Army could not retrieve the bodies of both the soldiers. According to sources, on September 13, the Pak army was forced to carry the dead body by showing the white flag. The Indian Army also allowed the Pak Army to carry the dead body while honoring the slain soldiers.
Punjabi Muslim soldiers dominate the Pak Army
It is not that the Pakistan Army has similar concerns about the dead bodies of all its soldiers. Recently, 5 to 7 soldiers and militants of Pakistan were killed on 30–31 July in the Keran sector. But the Pakistani army refused to take back the bodies.
It is believed that the soldiers killed were not from Punjab. They were either from Kashmir or belong to Northern Light Infantry. Punjabi Muslims dominate the Pak Army, so they do not give importance to other soldiers. 70% of the generals in the Pakistan Army are Punjabi Muslims.
