Pakistan Surpasses China in Coronavirus Cases

Pakistan's Ministry of Health said that 20,167 samples have also been tested in the last 24 hours, whereas according to the health ministry, so far 615,511 people have been screened in the country

Corona virus infected cases in Pakistan has surpassed China's figures on Thursday. According to reports, infection cases in the country increased to 85246 with 4,688 new cases reported in Pakistan in the last 24 hours. With 84,160 cases of infection, China ranks number 18 in the list of virus-affected countries in the world and Pakistan at number 17, according to data from America's Johns Hopkins University.

The Ministry of National Health Service said on Thursday that 1,770 people have died due to the virus in Pakistan so far, out of which 82 people have lost their lives in the last 24 hours, the ministry said that 4,688 new cases were also reported in the last 24 hours, whereas so far, 30,128 people have been cured. Sindh province has the highest number of 32,910 infected cases in the country, followed by 31,104 in Punjab, 11,373 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 5,224 in Balochistan, 3,544 in Islamabad, 824 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 285 in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The virus, which started spreading from Wuhan in China last year, has so far infected more than 6,511,000 people worldwide and killed more than 3,86,000 people. This virus has also caused an economic crisis all over the world, due to which China is on the target of many countries.
