Pakistan Should Look at Security in their Country First: BCCI Vice-President

BCCI vice-president Mahim Verma has strongly opposed the Pakistan Cricket Board's statement that states India as a more dangerous country than Pakistan. Mahim Verma said on Tuesday that Pakistan should pay attention to the security conditions of its country first. We have enough to handle the security and situation of our country. In fact, on Monday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) President Ehsan Mani said after the end of the home Test series against Sri Lanka that India has a 'greater security risk' than that of Pakistan. 10 years after the 2009 terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team, Pakistan hosted a Test series at home. During this time no major team visited Pakistan.

Mani told 'Cricket Pakistan.com PK', 'We have proved that Pakistan is safe, if any team is not coming here then they have to prove that Pakistan is insecure. In today's time, there is a greater security risk in India than in Pakistan.' The former ICC president termed the Sri Lankan tour of Pakistan a turning point. He said, 'After successful conduct of Test series against Sri Lanka, no one should doubt the security system in Pakistan. This is the turning point for the revival of Test cricket in Pakistan. Media and fans played an important role in creating a positive image of Pakistan around the world.

Pakistan now has to host Bangladesh in January for three T20 Internationals and two Tests. However, Bangladesh Cricket Board officials have said that they will not play the five-day match due to security reasons.
