Pakistan: PIA Pilots Ignored Instructions of the Air Traffic Controller before Crash

The Aviation Authority of Pakistan has said that the Pakistan International Airline (PIA) aircraft that crashed here last week did not followed the instructions of the air traffic controller. According to the sources, the Civil Aviation Authority in a letter said that the pilot did not follow the instructions of the Air Traffic Controller (ATC).

Let me tell you that this aircraft was crashed on 22 May in a densely residential area near the airport. A total of 97 people, including three children, were killed in the accident, while two passengers survived. The PK-8303 (flight) crashed at Jinnah Gardens near Model Colony in Malir, just a few minutes before landing at Jinnah International Airport after flying from Lahore.

At the same time, the Pakistan Airlines Pilots Association said on Wednesday that releasing limited details about the accident could seriously affect the ongoing investigation into the case. Meanwhile, the French Air Security Organization announced on Wednesday that an Airbus A-320 black box has been successfully downloaded and is being analyzed.
