PAK vs BAN: Mushfiqur Rahim Opts Out of Pakistan Tour

After the meeting between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in Dubai, BCB agreed to play T20, Test and ODI matches in Pakistan. But now Bangladeshi players are withdrawing their names before the tour. At the same time, Bangladesh's wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim has refused to go on a Pakistan tour. The senior player gave this information to the Bangladesh Cricket Board on Thursday.

Chief selector of Bangladesh team Minhajul Abedin said, "Mushfiqur called me on Thursday and told that he cannot go to Pakistan. We are now waiting for his official letter. Once we receive it, we will exclude him from the series." Earlier, Opener Tamim Iqbal withdrew his name just before the tour. Bangladesh team has to play three T20 matches and two-Test series on the tour of Pakistan from 24 January. At the same time, according to the new program prepared after the talks between the Board of the two countries, an ODI will be played between the two Test matches.

Bangladesh team's most experienced all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is already out of the tour because of the ban. In such a situation, the absence of Mushfiqur can be a big setback for the Bangladesh team. Minhajul said that he will announce the team for the tour in the next one or two days.
