P. Chidambaram’s Hearing to be Done through Video Conferencing

Senior Congress leader and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram in INX Media case will be presented in Delhi court through video conferencing. The matter will be heard shortly. P. Chidambaram's term of detention ends today.

Former finance minister P Chidambaram is currently in custody in the INX Media deal money laundering case and is currently in Tihar Jail. The case was scheduled to be heard before a bench of Justice Suresh Kat of the High Court last Monday, but the lawyers were on strike since the dispute with the lawyers and the police, due to which the hearing could not be held.

In this case, the ED accused Chidambaram that P Chidambaram had conspired with son Karti Chidambaram for corruption. In this case, he misused his position and got approval from the Foreign Promotion Investment Board. In response to this, Chidambaram said that no evidence has been presented to prove any allegations against him.
