Akali workers going to participate in the protest were stopped by the Delhi Police at the Jhadoda border. All vehicles bearing Punjab numbers were returned. The activists protested, but the police and CRPF stopped them by force. After this, these workers returned to the border. Police say that due to Covid rules, permission has not been given for this march.

Protest is not allowed

Delhi's DCP Deepak Yadav told that some people had gathered here in the protest of Shiromani Akali Dal. We spoke to their leaders and informed them that protest is not allowed here. The photo is of near Gurdwara Rakabganj.

Black Day in protest against the Agriculture

Akali Dal is observing Black Day today in protest against the Agriculture Bill. Akali Dal chiefs Sukhbir Singh Badal and Harsimrat Kaur Badal had appealed to the people to join the protest on Tuesday. Harsimrat Kaur has told in a tweet that the police have closed all entry points in Delhi and have also detained some activists. She said that it is a non-declared emergency.

The alliance was broken due to agricultural law

The Agriculture Bill was opposed by the opposition as well as the Akali Dal, which was part of the NDA. The situation came that Harsimrat Kaur had resigned from the post of minister at the Centre. With this, the 24-year-old alliance of both parties was also broken. However, when the bill was passed, the Akali Dal supported it.

Harsimrat Kaur Badal had not signed the bill

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has targeted the Akali Dal on this protest. AAP MLA Kultar Singh Sandhwa had said on Sunday that if Harsimrat Kaur Badal had not signed the bill, then there would have been no chance of celebrating Black Day today.
