On Birth Certificate Child’s Name can be Added Online

There will be no need to visit the MCD office to register the name in the certificate after birth. The South MCD is planning that at the time of sitting at home itself, someone should enter the name in the birth certificate. For this additional copy, a fee of Rs 10 per copy has to be paid, which is being considered to be waived. Apart from this, the certificates of all children born in Delhi will be linked to Aadhaar. But for this, the MCD Act will have to be changed. The MCD has written a letter to the Registrar General of India.

According to a senior officer of the South MCD Health Department, the birth certificate found immediately after birth in Delhi does not have the names of the children. After 6 months or a year, after the naming of the children or at the time of admission in the school, people go to the MCD office for enrollment in the birth certificate. If someone goes out of Delhi, he has to come to Delhi for this work.

Even if someone applies for an online name, then Rs 10 will have to come to the Citizen Service Bureau of the zonal office to submit the manual. This causes problems to people. People should get their names submitted online in their birth certificate automatically, MCD will arrange for this. In this regard, on Tuesday, the MCD Commissioner also called a meeting of all the officers of the Public Health Department. There is also a plan to link the birth certificate to Aadhaar. This will make it easier to control birth and death rates and create data banks. Birth certificate is being linked to Aadhaar in Gurgaon.
