Oats Upma ingredients:
Oats 1 cup
Onion 2 medium-sized
Ginger 1 inch
Green Chili 5
Chana dal 2 tablespoons
Mustard seeds 2 teaspoons
Whole Cumin 2 teaspoon
Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2 tsp
Pinch of salt 4
Water 2 cups
Handful of coriander leaves
Handful of curry leaves
To Garnish:
Basil
Peas half cup
Half a cup of green beans
Cabbage half cup
Carrot 2
The method of making Oats Upma:
Step 1:
First peel, wash and chop all the vegetables and keep them aside.
Step 2:
Now keep a pan on medium heat and add oil to it and heat it. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let it crackle.
Step 3:
Add chopped onion and fry till golden brown. Now add green chili, finely chopped ginger and fry for 4 to 5 minutes.
Step 4:
Add chopped vegetables and water and let it boil. Now add oats and salt to it. Mix well and cover the lid of the pan and cook until the oats are cooked.
Step 5:
Garnish with basil leaves and serve with a sauce of your choice.
