With the arrival of 7,099 new cases of corona virus in Russia, the number of patients of this disease in the country has crossed one lakh figure. In Russia, more than a thousand people have died due to this disease. Russian health officials said on Thursday that the number of total cases increased to 106,498 after 7,099 new cases were reported.
The number of infected people may be higher because not everyone is being tested and many patients are not showing symptoms of the disease. The lockdown has been in force since late March in large parts of Russia and people have been ordered to stay at homes. Meanwhile Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended the lockdown to 11 May.
