New cases of coronavirus are increasing daily in the country and every day a new record of new cases is emerging. During the last 24 hours, there have been 28,701 new cases of coronavirus reported across the country, which is the highest number of cases reported in a single day. After so many cases, now the country has crossed the 3 lakh active cases mark. According to the Union Health Ministry, the total active corona cases have increased to 3, 01,609 across the country. In total, 8, 78,254 coronavirus cases have been reported across the country so far. That is, more than 34 percent of the total corona cases in the country are active cases.
The numbers of people who lost their lives due to coronavirus are also increasing continuously, during the last 24 hours, 500 people have died due to coronavirus across the country and till now a total of 23,174 people lost their lives due to corona. The death rate of coronavirus in the country is 2.63 percent.
However, with the increase of coronavirus infection in India, the numbers of people recovering from corona are also increasing rapidly and till date a total of 5,53,470 people have been cured across the country. During the last 24 hours, 18,850 people across the country have recovered from Corona. Coronavirus recovery rate in the country has crossed 63 percent.
There is continuous testing in the country for the identification of coronavirus patients. On Sunday, more than 2.19 lakh tests have been conducted across the country. The total coronavirus testing in the country has increased to over 18 million. After the United States, Russia and Britain, the highest number of coronavirus tests are being conducted in India.
Globally, the number of cases of coronavirus has increased to over 130 million cases worldwide, so far more than 5.71 lakh people have died due to coronavirus worldwide. However, more than 75.82 lakh coronavirus patients have been cured all over the world. The highest numbers of cases of coronavirus in the world are in the United States, where more than 34.13 lakh cases have been reported and more than 1.37 lakh people have died, followed by more than 18.66 lakh cases in Brazil and 72 thousand deaths. In Russia too, more than 7.27 lakh cases have been reported and more than 11 thousand people have lost their lives.
