Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday approved the country's cricket team to visit England later this month. The former captain of the Pakistan team and the current Prime Minister of the country had a meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board i.e. PCB Chairman Ehsan Money on the matters of cricket in Islamabad. Sports are stopped in Pakistan due to Coronavirus.
A PCB source said, "Prime Minister Imran Khan told Ehsan Mani that the Pakistan team should go to England for the Test and T20 series, as people watch cricket and other sports activities to resume despite the Coronavirus epidemic." The source said that the PCB chief was asked to ensure that a proper protocol should be put in place by the England Cricket Board to ensure the safety and health of all players and officials visiting England.
The Pakistan team is scheduled to reach England by the end of this month to play a series of three Tests and three T20 matches in August and September. After reaching England, 29 players and 14 officials will spend 14 days in quarantine and then prepare for three to four weeks of cricket in a bio-safe environment. In isolation training, he will practice matches between the nets and each other before the first Test.
