To prevent pollution on Diwali, the UP government has issued a guideline setting the time limit for burning firecrackers in the state. According to the guidelines issued by the Yogi government on Wednesday, the fire has been allowed to burn firecrackers in the state from 8 pm to 10 pm on Diwali.

These instructions have been issued by Kalpana Awasthi, Principal Secretary, Department of Environment, Forest and Climate, Government of Uttar Pradesh, to the Commissioner of all the zones, DM and SSP of the districts. It has been said in the letter that only firecrackers with less air pollution should be used on the occasion of Deepawali.

It has also been said in this letter that the sale of firecrackers in the state should be done only through license holders. In all the districts, only two hours have been fixed for burning firecrackers and if the violation of this rule is done then the police of the respective areas will be responsible for it.

The government has stated that the sale of any type of fireworks or fireworks items through the online website has been banned. Apart from this, it has been decided to ban the use of series containing firecrackers and fighters. In his guideline, the Principal Secretary has asked the officials to determine the locations for use of firecrackers in their districts and publicity should also be given about the ill effects of use of firecrackers.
