The war between the Taliban and the Northern Alliance has started again in Panjshir on Tuesday night. According to sources, the Taliban blew up the bridge connecting Golbahar to Panjshir. The road connecting Panjshir with Parwan province has been closed due to heavy fighting. The Taliban have blocked the main road with containers and occupied Shutul district.

350 Taliban fighters killed

The Northern Alliance has claimed that more than 350 Taliban fighters have been killed in the fighting and a large number of weapons and American vehicles have been seized. It is also being said in some reports that the Northern Alliance has also taken more than 40 Taliban hostage. Although this has not been confirmed, it is being written on the social media account associated with the Taliban to pray for the Mujahideen fighting in Panjshir. Such social media posts are indicating the weakening of the Taliban's position.

Fighting also took place in Jabal Saraj district of Parwan province, Andrab district of Baglan province and Khawak Panjshir. The Taliban have been trying to enter the Panjshir Valley, but rebel fighters have managed to stop them. At around 11 o'clock last night, a fight broke out in the Golbahar area at the mouth of Panjshir. Ahmed Masood is currently leading the Northern Alliance.

The first formal talks between India and the Taliban took place on Tuesday. Indian Ambassador to Qatar Deepak Mittal held talks with Taliban leader Sher Mohammad Abbas Stankzai. According to reports, this meeting between Mittal and Sher Mohammad took place on the initiative of the Taliban.

Abbas is the head of the political wing of the Taliban and has longstanding links with India. The meeting took place at the Indian Embassy in Doha. This information has been given in a statement. Sher Mohammad has lived in India in the 1980s. He has taken training at the Military Academy located in Dehradun. He remained in the Afghan military, but later left it and went with the Taliban.
