Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has given an important statement amidst increasing cases of coronavirus infection in the state. He has dismissed the speculation of imposing the lockdown restrictions again amid the growing infection. He said that there will be no re-imposition of lockdown in Delhi. I don’t think it will be an effective step now, wearing of masks by everyone will be more beneficial. He also said that the peak of Delhi’s third wave is gone and cases will come down gradually.
In response to a question asked in relation to the increasing cases of coronavirus infection in Delhi, Jain said on Monday that he does not believe that a lockdown would be an effective route. Instead of lockdown, people apply masks and follow physical distance rules, which would be a more effective option.
Delhi Government will conduct over 1 lakh tests every day:
Let us tell you that a high-level meeting was held on Sunday, which was chaired by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, concerned about the ever-increasing coronavirus infection in Delhi. Several senior officials including Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan took part in it.
Chief Minister Kejriwal said that the Central Government has assured all possible help to curb the growing cases of Corona in Delhi. BiPAP machines will also be provided to the Delhi government by the Center. This will increase the number of ICU beds in hospitals. Now, more than 1 lakh tests will be conducted in Delhi every day. Right now 40-50 thousand tests are being done. Apart from this, 750 ICU beds will also be set-up by the Central Government in DRDO Center.
3,235 new cases of coronavirus reported in Delhi:
Significantly, in the last 24 hours, 3,235 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Delhi, after which the number of infected in the state increased to more than 4.85 lakhs. In addition, the death toll has risen to 7,614, with 95 more deaths in 24 hours.
