A senior SDMC officer said that horse carriages will not be allowed on the roads outside hotels, motels, and farmhouses in south Delhi.
No loudspeakers will be permitted after 10 pm. The development comes at a time when supreme court-appointed monitoring committee has urged the top court to the quash the " new policy " by the civic body, which may legalize violations cited by the committee at farmhouses.
Committee said that SDMC holds no power to formulate such policy. Farmhouses are meant for residential purpose only.
According to the new policy, the parking outside these places will be prohibited, use of laser light will also be prohibited and it will be compulsory to inform the police if any celebrity is invited.
Farmhouses can organize function only for 75 days in a year earlier social functions were allowed for 120 days. There are over 30 farm houses in the jurisdictions o SDMC, which were used to host parties and weddings.
In case of performance of entertainment program licenses from the licensing department of the Delhi police, traffic police and fire department have to be obtained in advance.
The new policy also mandates that installation of CCTV camera on entry and exit points, to be installed by the owner. Footage of these camera preserved needs to be of 30 days. The security deposit for any function is supposed to be 5, 00,000 which would return only after a year.
On the ignorance of policy guidelines penalty ranging between Rs 2lakh and 8 lakh will be charged by the corporation.
