Seven years, 3 months, 4 days later, Nirbhaya finally got justice on 20 March. The clock at 5:30 am in Tihar Jail, Delhi all the four guilty of Nirbhaya were hanged. On receiving the news of the hanging, applause rang out of the jail and people raised slogans of 'Nirbhaya Zindabad'. Today, the struggle of Nirbhaya's parents ended and the daughters of the country hoped for justice. Know that 60 minutes when all the four cried, lay on the ground and finally swung on the noose.
The four convicts were first bathed after waking up at 3:30 in the morning, and after that the team of doctors conducted medical tests of all. All the convicts were found to be fully fit in the medical test. After this, the four convicts were prepared to be hanged and dressed in black.
Those 60 minutes:
05.00 AM: Around five o'clock in the morning the hands of the four convicts were tied and then they were brought to the gallows. During this time, two convicts were unwilling to get their hands tied. It is being told that during this time a convict started crying loudly and lay down on the ground. Prison officials picked him up and then tied his hands.
05.10 AM: After this bringing them to hanging house, then death warrant issued by the court pronounced to all the convicts and they have been told that for which crime they are being hanged. After this, the culprits were asked their last wish. However, it is not yet known what the culprits stated their last wish. After this, the four convicts were put a black cloth around their faces and neck.
05.20 AM: Around 5:20 am, the four convicts were put on the gallows of hanging together. After this, everyone's feet were tied. On the instructions of the jail authorities, the Jallad Pawan threaded the neck of everyone and pulled the lever at exactly half past five and the four convicts hanged on the noose.
06.00 AM: After hanging, the four convicts were kept hanging in the well of the hanging house for about half an hour to forty minutes. After this, the doctors present in the jail went to the well of the hanging house and after medical examination of the dead bodies gave a certificate of death to the prison administration.
Relieved of finally getting justice for her daughter after a seven-year-long legal battle, Nirbhaya's parents said they would continue "their fight for India's daughters". Nirbhaya's mother Asha Devi told reporters after the hanging, "We finally got justice. We will continue our fight for the daughters of India. Justice was delayed but justice was done. She said that now women will definitely feel safe after hanging the culprits. She said that the whole country was awake and waiting for justice. Hundreds of people gathered outside Tihar Jail in the early hours of Friday. They had the national flag in their hands and was raising slogans of 'Amar Raho Nirbhaya' and 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. As soon as the hanging took place, there was a wave of happiness in them.
