The NIA has arrested Javed Ali, a resident of Khampur village in the Chhapar police station area of Muzaffarnagar district, from Delhi Airport. The NIA had been looking for Javed for two years in the case of raising funds to terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba through the hawala business.
Javed Ali Putra Imran, a resident of Khampur village in the Chhapar police station area, used to work as a carpenter for the past several years in Saudi Arabia. He returned home from Saudi Arabia late on Sunday night, and was arrested by the NIA team as soon as he reached Indira Gandhi Airport in New Delhi. Two years ago, a LeT leader Sheikh Abdul Naeem alias Sohail Khan was arrested by the NIA. After questioning him, it was revealed that Javed is doing Terror funding from Muzaffarnagar Hawala channel through hawala from Saudi Arabia.
Apart from Naeem, five others were also arrested in this case. Which included two of Muzaffarnagar’s Saraf Aadish Jain and Dinesh alias Ankit Garg. Five were absconding, including Javed. The terrorists were using the fund to raid Lashkar-e-Taiba in India, recruit terrorists and identify soft targets including foreign nationals and tourists.
SP City Satpal Antil says that information has been received about the arrest of Javed Ali by the NIA. There is no information about any lawsuit against him at the local level. Along with that, the family is also being investigated.
