The petition filed by the petitioner in the National Green Tribunal against the Odd-Scheme of Delhi Government has been withdrawn by the petitioner. The NGT said that this petition was not admissible. The petition was filed in the NGT challenging the Kejriwal government's aud-even scheme on 16 September. Since then it was in doubt on its implementation.
Now the Delhi government can implement it. In fact, recently, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced to implement the Odd-Even scheme from November 4 to 15. Kejriwal says that the implementation of this scheme will help reduce pollution in Delhi.
CM Kejriwal claimed that 25 percent pollution in Delhi is over, but in spite of this we do not have to sit silently. He said that the smoke of the starchy from the neighboring states envelops Delhi and surrounding areas. The government had sought suggestions to reduce pollution, on which around 1200 suggestions have also come up.
Under the Odd-Even scheme, people will not be able to take the car on the roads daily. For example, if the registration number of your vehicle is 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, then you can bring your car on the road on the 5th, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15. If the last number of your car is 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 then you can take the car on 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and come on the road.
