A terrorist attack has taken place in Pakistan for the second consecutive day. Twelve people were killed and several others are said to be injured in a bus explosion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Upper Kohistan area on Wednesday. According to news agency Agence France Presse (AFP), 9 Chinese engineers, 2 security force personnel, and 2 other employees are among the dead. The condition of several injured remains critical. It is not yet known which terrorist organization is behind the attack.

According to Pakistani media, the bus was carrying Chinese engineers and laborers working on Dasu Dam. About 30 Chinese engineers were on board the bus. The bus was being guarded by Pakistani soldiers. Suddenly the bus exploded. Deputy commissioner Mohammad Arif told that whether it was an attack or an accident, it is being investigated. Only then the situation will be clear.

  • Earlier on Tuesday, terrorists targeted the Pakistani Army in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In this, 12 soldiers including a captain were killed. 15 jawans were also injured. Terrorists had taken 6 telecom operators hostage.
  • The banned terrorist organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was said to be behind the attack. It is also being claimed that the terrorists have taken some army personnel hostage. It is being told that Captain Abdul Basit of 28 Baloch Regiment has died in this incident.

Pakistani army claims – 3 terrorists killed, two soldiers martyred

According to local Sama news, the Pakistani army said that security forces had received information about the presence of terrorists in the Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. After this, the operation was started here. During the firing, 3 terrorists were killed, while two soldiers were martyred.
