WhatsApp is adding the ‘WhatsApp to Facebook’ tag to the application, updating to its latest beta. This latest beta version will arrive in less than a week. This will happen after the Facebook-owned platform implemented the ‘fingerprint lock’ feature. This feature will be available to users of Android Beta.
The tag will appear under WhatsApp settings and is a clear indication of Facebook marking its territory. As per Saturday’s report by MSPowerUser, Facebook has kept the app separate, but the company has not given up on the dream of its integrated platform.
The social network company bought WhatsApp in February 2014 and ensured that people knew about the purchase and this was the second step in that direction. Meanwhile, when the fingerprint lock feature is enabled, then people will use fingerprint to open WhatsApp.
Fan website WABTinfo, which reported updates to WhatsApp, said earlier this week that consumers are still able to answer calls when WhatsApp is locked.
