Famous neurologist Dr. Ashok Panagariya of the country is still in a critical situation. Some people had spread the rumor of his death on social media since Thursday night. Messages from the BJP's state president, Dr. Satish Poonia, and as well as social media made in the name of Assembly Speaker CP Joshi, to pay their tributes, went viral, although those messages were later deleted.

If sources close to Panagariya are to be believed, his lung (lungs) have been damaged to a great extent. In such a situation, people close to him and his people all over the country are praying for his speedy recovery. At the same time, the team of specialist doctors from India and abroad, including the top most nephrologists, pulmonologists, physicians are also included in his treatment. Apart from this, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot himself has also kept a constant watch on his health.

Was admitted to RUHS on 25 April, then CT score was 17

According to close sources, Dr. Panagariya started feeling symptoms of Covid on April 24, when he went to a private lab in JLN Road and got HRCT done there. His score was 17 in the report of City Scan, after which he himself was admitted to Jaipur's RUHS Hospital on 25 April. It is being told that after his ill health there, he shifted the EHCC Hospital located near Jawahar Circle, Jaipur.

Health deteriorated after taking second dose of vaccine

If we are close to Pangadi, then he had got the second dose of CoviShield by going to the SMS Hospital about 10-12 days before this disease. A few days after the vaccine, he felt symptoms of Covid and Corona was confirmed when he was tested. It is being told that for the past one year, he did not leave home any more. Last year in July 2020, during the marriage of his son, only 15 people attended the program. The proposed wedding ceremony in Udaipur was arranged as a small event in Jaipur. Apart from this, Dr. Panagariya had also stopped seeing patients since the last one year (since Covid started), only counseling patients online.

Padma Shri in 2014 and Dr. BC Roy Award in 2002

Neurologist Dr. Panagariya received the Merit Award from the Government of Rajasthan in 1992. He was the Head of the Department of Neurology at SMS. He was the Principal from 2006 to 2010. In 2002, he was given the Dr. BC Roy Award by the Medical Council of India. In 2014, he was awarded the Padma Shri. More than 90 of his papers have appeared in the journal. He has also received the UNESCO Award due to his medical and social involvement. He has also received several Lifetime Achievement Awards.

A wave of concern in the village, library is built in the name of father

Dr. Panagariya originally hails from Suwana town near Bhilwara. They still have homes in the ancestral village. There is a library in the village in memory of his father late Baluram Panagariya. He has a lot of connection with the village. The entire family, including his brother economist Professor Arvind Panagariya, has unwavering faith in the temple of Balaji of Sindri in Sanganer near Bhilwara. The people of the village say that whenever these people come to Suwana, they definitely go to see Balaji of Sindri. Although their arrival in the village was less than the last few rains, but they keep in touch on the fence.
