Arjen Robben, famous Dutch footballer announced his retirement from football on Thursday. The 35-yer-old sportsman played for ten years for German club Bayern Munich. He was part of Netherlands' national team which was runner-up in FIFA World Cup 2010.

Arjen Robben, famous Dutch footballer announced his retirement from football on Thursday. The 35-year-old sportsman played for ten years for German Club Bayern Munich after joining the team in 2009. Robben also played in 96 international matches for Netherlands' and was the part of the national squad which was runners-up in 2010 FIFA World Cup.

The ex-Netherland international also won eight Bundesliga titles while playing for Bayern. "It is without a doubt the most difficult decision I have had to make in my career, my heart says yes, my body says no," Robben was quoted by The Telegraph as saying. Robben's contract with Bayern Munich ended in June 2019.

Robben also faced many injuries while playing in the last season for the German club. He also played for Chelsea and bagged two English Premier Titles in 2005 and 2006. In all, he played 105 league appearance for the English club. Later in his career, Robben also clinched a La Liga Medal while playing for Spanish football club Real Madrid.
