Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader in Maharashtra and MLA from Guhagar Bhaskar Jadhav joined the Shiv Sena in the presence of Uddhav Thackeray on Friday. Bhaskar Jadhav, veteran leader of the party in the Konkan region and former minister of the state, also announced to join the Shiv Sena on Monday, he has submitted his resignation to the state Assembly speaker Haribhau Bagde.

Veteran leader and former state minister Bhaskar Jadhav had also announced to join Shiv Sena on Monday. Jadhav started his political career with the Shiv Sena. He joined the NCP in the year 2000 and later became a minister in the Congress-NCP coalition government of the state. Last month, NCP MLA Avdhoot Tatkare also announced to join Shiv Sena.

In his hometown Guhagar in Ratnagiri district, Jadhav on Monday announced to join the Shiv Sena during a meeting with supporters. He told the media in Ratnagiri, 'I met the Shiv Sena chief two weeks ago. He offered me to join the party. ' On the issue of contesting elections from Guhagar, he said that if I am told, I will definitely fight. However, the final decision will be taken by Shivesana leadership.

Big names like former minister Madhukar Pichad, his son Vaibhav Pichad, former NCP state women president Chitra Wagh, Shivendraraje Bhosle, Ranjit Singh Mohite-Patil, Dhananjay Mahadik, Rana Jagjit Singh Patil have left the BJP-Shiv Sena. According to information received from sources, Vijay Singh Mohite-Patil and Padmasinh Patil have also broken ties with the NCP and may go to either of the ruling parties in the coming days.
