Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the Vande Bharat Express train from Una in Himachal Pradesh. It is the fourth Vande Bharat train to be introduced in the country, and it is a more sophisticated version than the previous ones, being lighter and capable of achieving faster speeds in a shorter period.
The train will go from Delhi to Una's Amb Andaura Railway Station. Except for Wednesdays, the new Vande Bharat Express train will travel six days a week, with stops in Ambala, Chandigarh, Anandpur Sahib, and Una. In addition, the train will reach 100 km/h in 52 seconds.
The train's launch follows the announcement of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative election this year.
PM Modi launched the third Vande Bharat Express last month in Gujarat, another election-bound state. This railway connects Gandhinagar and Mumbai.
Separately, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lay the groundwork for two hydropower projects in Himachal's Chamba region and Bulk Drug Park. The Bulk Drug Park would cost more than Rs. 1900 crore to construct. The park will aid in reducing reliance on API imports. According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, it is projected to attract roughly Rs. 10,000 crores in investment and employ more than 20,000 people (PMO).
PM Modi on Thursday launched the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-III in Himachal Pradesh. He will also speak at two public gatherings in Una and Chamba. The Centre has sanctioned more than 420 crores under this phase for the upgrading of 440 km of roads in 15 border and remote blocks of the state.
