Atiq-Ashraf Murder Case: The murder of Atiq and Ashraf took place on April 15 when the three shooters, disguised as journalists, shot them at close range while they were being taken to a medical college in Prayagraj for a medical check-up.
All three accused individuals, Lavlesh Tiwari, Sunny Singh, and Arun Maurya, involved in the murder of the Mafia Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf, may undergo a Narco test to verify their statements.
Sources suggest that an application for the Narco test could be filed in the court after the police remand of all three individuals.
The three accused individuals involved in the murder of Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf are currently in police remand and undergoing continuous questioning.
During interrogation, Lavlesh Tiwari claimed to be a staunch Hinduist, while Sunny Singh boasted that he was a powerful don with no boss.
Arun Maurya, the third accused, stated that he was unaware of the value of the Zigana pistol and that it was given to him by a friend.
Furthermore, it has come to light that the shooters had attempted to assassinate Atiq on April 14th but had to flee upon seeing the heavy security arrangements around them.
The trio of Lavlesh Tiwari, Sunny Singh and Arun Maurya had planned to attack Atiq and Ashraf on April 14 but were deterred by the heavy security presence.
According to police sources, there is suspicion that Sunny and Lavlesh Tiwari, who had met in jail, conspired to kill Atiq.
Arun Maurya is believed to have been involved in the murders of both Atiq and Ashraf. After completion of the police remand, possibly their narco test can be done.
As part of the investigation into the Atiq-Ashraf murder case, the SIT has detained three individuals from Banda. These individuals are friends of Lavlesh Tiwari, who is the primary suspect in the murders of Atiq and Ashraf.
The SIT Inspector led the operation to apprehend these three individuals, who allegedly provided media training to Tiwari.
In addition, the SIT team has also arrived in Hamirpur and Kasganj to continue their investigation.
