
A female passenger on an Air India flight from Nagpur to Mumbai was bitten by a scorpion, causing her health to deteriorate. However, she received medical attention promptly, and her life was saved.
The incident occurred on April 23rd but was recently confirmed by Air India.
In a similar incident, a snake was discovered on an Air India Express flight after landing at Dubai Airport in December 2022.
The airline provided prompt medical attention, and upon landing, the passenger was immediately taken to the hospital.
Fortunately, she was discharged after receiving treatment. Air India stated that their officials were present with the passenger throughout the flight and hospitalization, ensuring her well-being until discharge.
Additionally, Air India apologized to the affected passenger for the incident.
Air India has stated that on April 23, 2023, their flight AI-630 experienced an extremely rare and unfortunate incident of a passenger being stung by a scorpion.
The airline followed protocol and thoroughly inspected the aircraft, eventually finding the scorpion. Subsequently, the appropriate pest control measures were taken.
