However, the 552-day-long protest has been called off after the demands of the protesters have been accepted by the government and authorities.

On Wednesday, Minister Vishvendra Singh reached the protest site at Pasopa Village of Deeg and handed over a letter from the government to the protesters stating the assurance that the demands of the protesters have been accepted by the government.

Cabinet Minister said that leases in the hills of Aadi Badri and Kankanchal would be shifted to any other area within the time span of two months. And Aadi Badri and Kankanchal areas will be reserved as a forest-protected area within 15 days.

After a letter assuring these demands was handed over to the saints and other people, the protest ended after around one and a half years.
