
NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lead the eighth governing council meeting of NITI Aayog on Saturday. The meeting will be held under the theme of 'Viksit Bharat @2047: Role of Team India' at the newly established Convention Centre in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his role as the chairman of NITI Aayog, will assume the responsibility of presiding over the eighth governing council meeting.
During the meeting, PM Mod will engage in discussions pertaining to crucial areas such as health, skill development, women empowerment, and infrastructure development.
The objective behind these deliberations is to propel India towards its goal of becoming a developed nation by the year 2047.
In a statement, the NITI Aayog has announced that the day-long meeting will encompass discussions on eight prominent themes, which are as follows:

Women Empowerment
Health and Nutrition
Skill Development
Gati Shakti for area development and social infrastructure.
These themes have been carefully selected to address key aspects and challenges towards the vision of a developed India by 2047.
According to the statement, the meeting will witness the attendance of Chief Ministers/Lt Governors from all States and Union Territories, Union Ministers as ex-officio Members, as well as the Vice Chairman and Members of NITI Aayog.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Telangana Chief Minister KCR, and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal have decided not to attend the 8th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog scheduled in the national capital on Saturday.
In a letter addressed to PM Modi, Chief Minister Kejriwal expressed his decision to boycott the meeting as a form of protest against the Centre's ordinance pertaining to the control of services in Delhi.
