The funeral will take place on Sep 19 i.e. Monday at Westminster Abbey.
The Ministry of External Affairs said that India had received an invitation from London to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth and for that President Murmu will be on a 3-day visit to Britain from Wednesday as the head of India.
The invitation also mentioned that this is the first state funeral in Britain in 57 years.
According to reports, King Charles III will host a reception for world leaders at Buckingham Palace in London on on Sunday evening, which is 11 a.m. on September 19 local time of London.
After the funeral services, the coffin will come into possession of St. Georges Chapel at Windsor Castle from Westminster Abbey.
A reception is likely to be held at Windsor for the leaders worldwide and for the heads of the Commonwealth Nations and allies of the UK.
Another reception will take place at Abbey’s Church ground in London for other invites, including diplomats and senior government ministers.
According to the reports, no invitation has been sent to Russia and Belarus including Myanmar.
States having less friendly relations with UK, will be represented at ambassadorial levels.
In the era of democracy, even the monarchies will be attending the funeral, including King Phillippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of Netherlands and King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain.
